Gratitude ~ a learnable skill!

It is that time of year when we are "supposed" to feel gratitude.  But what IS this feeling and how DO we feel it on a genuine level in our bodies?  

It can be hard to feel gratitude when your brain and body are all clogged up with scarcity mindset- the idea of not being enough, not having enough.  As a teenager, I was trained to drink up self-hatred like milk and it was slowly killing my spirit making me small & weak.

When I first met my yoga mentor, Ana Forrest, she said, "You need to learn how to take up space in this world.  We can hardly see you.  You deserve to be seen".  I started a quest to feel worthy enough to take up space in my body and in my community.  It all started with taking up space on my yoga mat.

To my surprise, I found out that gratitude and self love are learnable skills so I practiced them.  It turns out that gratitude is a healing balm that soothes the deep wound of not-enoughness. I slowly began to cultivate a deep sense of self worth.
